Interactive video — along the right direction

By | September 9, 2010

I just saw an interesting interview between Robert Scoble and a company called “Veeple.”  They make an embeddable video player that can enhance videos with clickable links.  Saying ‘clickable links’ is an understatement, but I don’t know how else to succintly describe it.  One adds in pictures or Flash animations onto videos, and the process seems simple yet very flexible, along with careful consideration for back-end metrics.

Since 2005, I have been conceptualizing a new technology I call ‘uSim’ around environments for interactive advertisements and Veeple I think is the first I’ve seen that fits along that spectrum of making product advertising more interactive.  I think products like Veeple are going to be the next thing, so I will be following it closely!
